Mike DeLuca brings over 40 years of experience in Human Resources and Operations Management to his role as a Maple Plain council member. With a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, DeLuca's expertise extends to strategic planning and leadership.
During his 12-year council tenure, DeLuca has actively participated in all major committees and commissions. He has played a pivotal role in implementing Strategic Planning for both the Council and Staff and spearheaded initiatives for park improvements, including the establishment of the new Veterans Memorial Park, playground enhancements, and overall park upgrades. His proudest achievement lies in the enhancements made to Veterans Memorial Park, which have strengthened community ties through the involvement with the Orono Rotary.
DeLuca's leadership philosophy emphasizes integrity, transparency, and accountability. He believes in doing what is right, even when challenging, and prioritizes honesty and openness in all interactions. DeLuca recognizes the importance of building strong relationships and fosters a supportive environment where team members feel empowered to innovate and learn together.
