Dear Residents of Maple Plain,
As Thanksgiving draws near, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on all we have to be grateful for in our community. This past year has shown us the strength, resilience, and compassion that define Maple Plain. Through challenges and triumphs, we’ve seen the remarkable ways our neighbors, friends, and family contribute to making this town the special place we call home.
While many of us gather to celebrate, I want to recognize and give thanks to those who won’t have that same opportunity today because they’re serving or working to keep us safe. Our first responders, healthcare workers, and military members dedicate themselves tirelessly—often around the clock—and it’s their unwavering commitment that allows us to enjoy our holiday in peace. We hold them close in our thoughts, deeply grateful for their sacrifices on this day and every day.
This Thanksgiving season also marks the end of another election season, a time when we as a community are once again engaged in the democratic process that keeps our town thriving. Thank you to everyone who participated—voting, volunteering, and lending your voices to shape our collective future. This is one of our greatest freedoms and an achievement we can all be thankful for.
On behalf of the entire city council, I wish you a joyous Thanksgiving filled with warmth, reflection, and gratitude. May this holiday season bring you and your loved ones moments of peace, joy, and togetherness.
