Absentee Voting Has Started

Absentee voting is now available to all eligible voters now through November 5. You can get your ballot in-person or request a ballot to be sent to you by mail, online, or by phone. For more information visit https://www.mapleplain.com/absentee-voting.


2040 Comprehensive Plan Open House- THIS Tuesday, September 25

The City of Maple Plain is hosting an 2040 Comprehensive Plan Open House on Tuesday, September 25 from 6 pm to 7 pm at City Hall. Help us plan the future of Maple Plain by providing feedback on parks and trails, transportation, and land-use! Your input is crucial as the City begins drafting this plan that provides a framework that guides future growth, development, and investments in City services.


Election Judges Needed for the November 6th Election- Apply Today!

The City of Maple Plain is seeking election judges for the general election on November 6! Don't miss out on this great opportunity to earn extra income, perform an important civic duty, meet your neighbors, and serve your community! Election judges for Maple Plain do not have to live in Maple Plain. Election judges are paid for training and work in the polls on election day. The rate is $10.00 per hour. Applications are being accepted until positions filled or until Monday, September 24. For more information and the application materials click HERE.


Highway 12 West Hennepin Safety Improvements Open House - Tuesday, October 2

The West Hennepin Public Safety Department along with the City of Independence and MNDOT will be hosting an open house to reveal highway improvement plans for highway 12 in the City of Independence on Tuesday, October 2 from 4:30-6:30 pm at Independence City Hall (1920 County Rd. 90). These improvements include installing a concrete barrier east of Maple Plain, building a roundabout at County Road 90, and intersection improvements at County Road 92. Flag Retirement Ceremony - Saturday, October 6

The Maple Plain American Legion Post 514 will be holding its annual Flag Retirement Ceremony on Saturday, October 6 at noon at the Maple Plain Fire Department. Bring your tattered flag for proper disposal. Also, you can bring your flags to the the drop off bins at City Hall and the Fire Station at anytime.


Maple Plain Fire Department Open House and Steak Fry - Saturday, October 6

Enjoy a fun afternoon with great food, fire truck rides, check out the Air Care helicopter, and participate in the silent auction. New this year, you can also bring your residential fire extinguishers to get them inspected and recharged!

Open House 1:00-4:00
Steak Fry 4:00-7:00
Silent Auction 1:00-6:00

The Steak Fry is $15 and you are able to purchase them at the door. No ticket is necessary. The Open House is free, so come on down and meet your local firefighters!


City Seeking Good Neighbor Award Nominations
