Here's your weekly construction update. City Offices will be closed on Monday, November 12th, but you can still contact our Engineering staff.

Howard Avenue and Independence Street:

The presentation that City Engineer Dan Boyum gave at the Assessment Hearing held during the October 22nd City Council meeting is available online on the project web page.

If you would like to pay off your special assessment without interest, the deadline for that is Friday, November 30. Checks should be made out to the City of Maple Plain.

Crews will be working this Saturday, November 9. The work will be clean-up on Independence Street.

Week of November 12th Schedule-

Howard: It is anticipated crews will be paving the 1st lift of asphalt for driveways Friday, November 16 and Saturday, November 17. Due to colder temperatures, only 1 lift of asphalt will be placed on driveways this fall. Wedges will be placed at the end of the driveway. They will mill out the wedge in Spring 2019 and put the final lift of asphalt.

Independence: Through mid-week, crews will be working on sub-grading the road. It is anticipated starting either Thursday or Friday crews will work on curb and gutter. This means that it is anticipated that there will be no driveway access next weekend through mid-next week (will be accessible for Thanksgiving). We will deliver a letter with more information next week.

Parkview Road and Maple Ridge Drive:

Maple Ridge Drive Driveways- Both driveway lifts today will be completed by the end of the day today. Driveways will be accessible.

Parkview Road Driveways- Based on the larger driveway patches, crews are only completing one lift on these driveways this fall. The contractors have left a 1-1/4" lip on the edges. They will correct any edges if they get damaged over the winter when they place the second lift next year.
