Happy Friday! This will be the last weekly update. Yesterday, letters were mailed out with an update on where the projects will be ending in 2018 and what still will be happening in spring 2019. Much of the information is included in this week's update. Do not hesitate to contact us with any concerns or questions moving forward. Thank you for your patience during the projects and have a wonderful holiday season! Howard Avenue and Independence Street: If you would like to pay off your special assessment without interest, the deadline for that is Friday, November 30. Checks should be made out to the City of Maple Plain. Please note that only cash or check will be accepted. Crews will be working this Saturday, November 17. Cars will need to be off of the street on Independence during the day on Saturday. Independence Street: Next week, contractor will be returning mailboxes back to their normal locations and uncovering the curbs. Additionally, on Tuesday, November 20, the contractor will be placing one of two layers of street pavement (next one will be placed next spring). Along with the first layer of pavement, wedges will be placed to protect the curb for snowplowing operations. Driveway aprons that are being/have been poured this year are temporary and will be replaced next year. Please note that it is anticipated that you will be able to access your driveways Monday night (November 19).
