- The City of Maple Plain will be awarding the 2022 Good Neighbor Award to the Paul Stinson American Legion Post 514 on December 19th, 2022. The Paul Stinson American Legion Post 514 has been operating in the Maple Plain community since 1957 and has continuously dedicated their time and hard work towards improving our City. We want to thank them for all that they have done and will continue to do for our community in the future. Thank you!

- Maple Plain is introducing The Public Advisory Panel on Public Spaces (CAPPS) as a new group to provide recommendations to City Council and City Staff on the development, maintenance, and management of public spaces in the community. - The West Hennepin Public Safety Reserves sponsored the 42nd annual View Santa program on Saturday, December 3rd! The City would like to thank the West Hennepin Public Safety Reserves for all of the hard work that they contributed in putting this event together. We would also like to thank every resident that attended the event and brought non-perishable food items for collection.

- Republic Services has released their Recycling Calendar for the City of Maple Plain in 2023. Recycling will continue to be collected every other Monday. The 2023 Recycling Calendar can be viewed on the City Website by following the link here. Please note that days highlighted in red signify that service will be delayed for a day due to Holiday.

- The City of Maple Plain would like to thank every resident that has been helping keep fire hydrants and storm drains clear during the most recent snowfalls. Your work is noticed and appreciated. Thank you for helping keep our City safer and our streets cleaner!

- The Maple Plain Truth in Taxation Hearing was held on December 5th, 2022 at 7:00 PM. The proposed 2023 Budget and Levy were presented during the meeting and public discussion was opened following the presentation. - Maple Plain is seeking volunteers to assist with tree planting in May of 2023. This volunteer project will involve planting 18 trees to replenish those that were lost due to emerald ash borer infestations. If you are interested in volunteering for this or any other event, visit the Maple Plain Volunteering webpage to learn more!

- Snow in the City means that the sidewalks in our community may be snow-covered and slippery. We would like to remind residents with sidewalks abutting their property of their responsibility to keep them snow-free. Your dedication to this duty ensures that our community can still safely utilize our sidewalks during this time of year. Thank you!

- Maple Plain winter parking restrictions are now in place. Parking is not allowed on any street November 1st - April 15 from 1 AM - 7 AM (this policy is in effect even when there is no snow). After 3 inches or more of snowfall, parking is not allowed on any City street until that street has been flowed full width. We appreciate you cooperation!

- Freezing temperatures and snowfall are officially upon us! Cold temperatures means that the public restrooms at Veterans Memorial Park are now closed for the season. Rainbow Park's public restrooms will remain open as they are heated.
