  • The City of Maple Plain swore in its two newly elected Councilmembers during the January 9, 2023 City Council Special Meeting. Congratulations to Councilmembers Andrew Burak and Connie Francis!
  • West Hennepin Public Safety recently announced the dates for the 2023 Citizens Police Academy. This program, which teaches citizens about police operations, policies, challenges, and more, will begin February 16, 2023 and conclude with graduation on April 6, 2023.   • The City of Maple Plain would like to thank everyone for their continued patience and understanding regarding snow plowing services. We believe that improvements have been made and will continue to be made as the season progresses. Mayor Julie Maas-Kusske recently discussed our snow plowing services with journalist Jana Shortal on Kare 11's Breaking the News segment, which can be viewed here.
  • Would you like to own a piece of Maple Plain history? City Hall is giving away its antique fire proof safe that has been inside our City Hall for many years.   • The City of Maple Plain awarded the 2022 Good Neighbor Award to the Paul Stinson American Legion Post 514 on December 19th, 2022. The Paul Stinson American Legion Post 514 has been operating in the Maple Plain community since 1957 and has continuously dedicated their time and hard work towards improving our City.   • Maple Plain is introducing The Citizens Advisory Panel on Public Spaces (CAPPS) as a new group to provide recommendations to City Council and City Staff on the development, maintenance, and management of public spaces in the community.   • The City of Maple Plain would like to thank every resident that has been helping keep fire hydrants and storm drains clear during the most recent snowfalls. Your work is noticed and appreciated. The Maple Plain Fire Department will be assisting with this process as well, but any additional help is always greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping keep our City safer and our streets clean!
  • Maple Plain is seeking volunteers to assist with tree planting in May of 2023. This volunteer project will involve planting 18 trees to replenish those that were lost due to emerald ash borer infestations.   • Maple Plain winter parking restrictions are now in place. Parking is not allowed on any street November 1st - April 15 from 1 AM - 7 AM (this policy is in effect even when there is no snow). After 3 inches or more of snowfall, parking is not allowed on any City street until that street has been flowed full width. We appreciate you cooperation!
  • The City Council discussed City sign code and snow plowing services at the most recent City Council Workshop. More information can be obtained in the Council packet from the January 9, 2023 Workshop.
