After an incredible 35 years of dedicated service to Maple Plain and Independence, Sgt. Rick Denneson has officially retired from West Hennepin Public Safety! Rick truly embodies the spirit of service, showing unwavering commitment, courage, and compassion to our community. On April 30th, the community celebrated Sgt. Denneson's well-deserved retirement at Independence City Hall.

Heads up, everyone! We've got some important updates regarding the Bridge on CSAH 83/Halgren over BNSF RR.

Scheduled Maintenance - Flood sealing operations are set to kick off next week on Tuesday and Wednesday.

What to Expect:

  • Tuesday: Crews will be washing the bridge deck to ensure everything's spick and span for the next phase.
  • Wednesday: It's sealing time! The bridge deck will be sealed to keep it in top-notch condition.
  • Traffic Maintenance: No detours needed! Crews will flag traffic to keep it moving smoothly throughout the process.

Quick Completion: Good news — we anticipate this location will only take 2 days to complete, so you'll be back to your regular commute in no time.
