City Offices on the November Ballot

The Mayor and two city council positions are on the ballot. Any Maple Plain city residents interested in running for office may file an Affidavit of Candidacy and pay a non-refundable $2 filing fee at City Hall, 5050 Independence Street, Maple Plain, MN 55359.

The filing period for City office positions opens July 30th and ends August 13th. Candidates may file during regular City Hall office hours, 9-4, Monday - Friday.

Exciting News!

A huge congratulations to the Maple Plain Fire Department for winning the Delano Fourth of July Waterball Championship! With twelve fire department teams competing, our team showed outstanding skill and teamwork to bring the traveling fire ax trophy back home to Maple Plain. This marks the fourth victory in the last seven years – what an incredible achievement!

A special shoutout to Holden Mohs, Brian Doyle, Joe Doyle, and our amazing coach, Chris Doyle, for their hard work and dedication. Your efforts have truly paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Drinking Water Report (Consumer Confidence Report)

Each year, the City of Maple Plain issues the results of monitoring done on its drinking water from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31. The report aims to advance consumers' understanding of drinking water and heighten awareness of the need to protect precious water resources.

The City of Maple Plain submitted a grant request from Centerpoint Energy to assist in purchasing a Vivax-Metrotech cLoc3Pro Utility Locator. The Vivax-Metrotech cLoc3Pro Utility Locator is essential for accurately identifying underground utilities, which enhances safety by preventing accidental damage during excavation. It improves efficiency, saves costs by avoiding repairs and fines, and ensures compliance with regulations. Its advanced technology provides accurate readings, making it a versatile and reliable tool for various construction and maintenance projects. On 7/22/24, the City of Maple Plain accepted a $2,500 Community Safety Grant from CenterPoint Energy.
