We are excited to learn more about these candidates in support of the general election on Nov. 5th. The state partisan primary took place on 8/13/24. Maple Plain's 103 people, or 9% of registered voters, participated in the election. Maple Plain Precinct 1 results for US Senator: SAVE THE DATE!!! THE WEST HENNEPIN PUBLIC SAFETY RESERVES ARE SPONSORING THE 43rd ANNUAL “VIEW SANTA” PROGRAM. IT WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7th, 2024. THE RESERVES WILL ALSO COLLECT NONPERISHABLE FOOD DONATIONS FOR LOCAL FOOD SHELVES. COME TO THE INDEPENDENCE CITY HALL ATRIUM (1920 COUNTY ROAD 90) FROM 3:30 TO 4:15 P.M. OR TO MAPLE PLAIN VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK (5190 INDEPENDENCE STREET AVENUE) FROM 4:45 TO 5:30 P.M. TO MEET SANTA AND TAKE PHOTOS OR SEE SANTA ON HIS ROUTE THROUGH TOWN. West Hennepin Public Safety is proud to introduce the newest member of the team, Micah Vorderbruggen, as our new Patrol Officer. Micah recently graduated with a Law Enforcement degree from the Hennepin Technical College in 2024. Micah previously worked at West Hennepin Public Safety Department as a Community Service Officer and a Reserve Officer. Chief Kroells expressed his confidence in Micah, stating, “Our agency is honored that Micah joined our team. Finding such a well-rounded law enforcement candidate who has a passion for serving is hard to find these days. Officer Vorderbruggen is a top candidate who will undoubtedly have an immediate impact on our agency and the citizens we serve.” Officer Vorderbruggen stated, “I am honored to start my Law Enforcement career at West Hennepin Public Safety Department. I am excited to serve and make a difference in Maple Plain and Independence.” The City of Maple Plain's Julie Maas-Kuske, John Fay, Connie Francis, and Jacob Kolander beamed with pride as they watched Maple Plain residents enthusiastically socialize and engage with one another at the Night to Unite event. The sense of community was palpable, and their hearts were joyfully touched by seeing everyone come together so vibrantly. West Hennepin Public Safety Department would like to thank our citizens for making Night to Unite a tremendous event for Maple Plain and Independence this year. West Hennepin Public Safety, Maple Plain Fire Department, and West Suburban Fire District will continue to work with our communities and their neighborhoods to promote crime prevention using National Night to Unite. By getting our neighbors together, we can proactively prevent crime from occurring in our communities. Together, we are a safer community. |
